Boat ramp facility halts corrosion with FRP grating and sections
The extensive range of fibreglass solutions from the ArchitEX™ and GratEX™ series provided the complete solution for the boat ramp. A comprehensive bill of materials and design drawings were compiled in-house by the Treadwell technical team. Prefabrication was also carried out internally by the operations team.
Owing to the beneficial light weight characteristics of FRP, the installation team was able to handle the material without much difficulty. Maneuverability in a space restricted area is also improved immensely as a result.
All products offered by ArchitEX™ and GratEX™ are 100% pigmented and can be replicated to any RAL colours. The full colouration process combined with a longlasting polyurethane coating which doubles as a sealant and with further colouration means that Treadwell’s FRP structures have exterior protection that is impervious to corrosive coastal conditions. The entire structure can be enjoyed for years to come as a result.
