Full FRP ACCESS SYSTEMS for an excavated tank reservoir
The Water Corporation approached Treadwell to engineer, fabricate and design a turnkey staircase system constructed mostly from FRP components. It is essential to select a material to make up a structure that would last long in periodic submergence. Traditional solutions would not apply in this case.
A resin formula was devised in the production of the FRP components to resist corrosion further as well as to strengthen the product to ensure endurance against the intended use.
ArchitEX™ FRP stringers with brackets were specifically made so that it can be used ideally in the frame’s construct. The landings and stair treads were formed with GratEX® FRP grating and RailEX® was used for the handrail systems.
