FRP supplied at Glenfield Junction train station
The rebuild of the South West Rail Link at Glenfield Junction has resulted in a more modern, safe and accessible station due to many factors. The entire project is noted for being innovative yet complex, requiring ingenuity to carry out the entire project seamlessly in spite of the constrained nature of the site – all rail operations for such a critical rail junction in Sydney were to proceed as per norm.
The ArchitEX™ FRP channels provided assures reliability of Glenfield station’s track system. The FRP profiles were installed easily and benficial properties such as non-conductivity, RF transparency and chemical resistance makes them more than suitable for such a purpose. Moreover, all the structures would require minimum maintenance in the future.
